Did you predict this week’s results on “Dancing With the Stars“? If so, you should put your psychic powers to use by entering our “DWTS” predictions contest for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card. None of our racetrack odds panned out this week, but a couple of our users nevertheless scored perfectly.
If you think you can foresee what surprises are in store for next week’s two-night event, scroll down and use our drag-and-drop menu to get started by predicting who you think will be eliminated next week. You’ve got two chances to get it right since host Tom Bergeron announced there will be a double elimination.
But remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering the week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (one of 500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a long shot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points. As we use those point totals to break ties when more than one user tops our leaderboard with the same number of correct answers, don’t take them for granted.
That’s how user Kevin Postel won this week’s predictions contest. Though he was one of two users to correctly answer all of this week’s three questions correctly, he scored the most points (4,150) because he predicted musician Riker Lynch would top the leaderboard for the first time since week three. His “Spring Break” samba scored 37 out of 40 from judges. Added to that were the 39 points he earned for his team dance with Rumer Willis, Chris Soules, and Patti LaBelle, giving him a total of 76.
Lynch had 9/2 odds when Postel bet 500 points on him, resulting in a 2,250-point payout. That made the difference in this predictions contest. It didn’t hurt that he also bet 200 points on LaBelle’s unexpected elimination at 11/2 odds, adding another 1,100 points to his tally. He picked up another 800 points predicting businessman Robert Herjavec would be the lowest scorer for the second week in a row.
Also with all three correct predictions was Brittany Leo, who scored 1233.33 points for her right answers.
Thanks to a strong showing predicting this week’s show (two out of three correct), Radzie extends his lead at the top of our overall leaderboard for this season of “DWTS” with 56% accuracy over six weeks. Ryan Lapierre remains in second place (39%), and after his perfect score this week, Kevin Postel now also has 39% for the season.
The week-six rankings of the “DWTS” contestants were:
Willis’s drop to fourth place came as a surprise after getting the top score on “Disney Night.” Though her “Bootylicious” jazz routine with pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy won over judge Bruno Tonioli, who gave her a 9, Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman only thought it was worth an 8, while Julianne Hough surprisingly only scored it a 7. Hough actually gave a higher score (8) to Chris Soules, who has frequently been near the bottom of the pack this season.
Who do you think will be eliminated next week? Can Herjavec survive another off-week? This is his second time at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard, but no bottom-scoring contestant has been sent home since Redfoo, the season’s first elimination.
Make or update your predictions below by dragging contestants from left to right in the order of their likelihood of getting the boot. For example, if you think Herjavec is a goner, make sure to have him in first place. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week until 5 p.m. PT each Monday.
