Shocking Daytime Emmy nomination snubs: Heather Tom, Blake Berris, Eric Martsolf, …

Proving that we Daytime Emmys forecasters can’t always tell which way the wind is blowing, the TV academy gave the cold shoulder to a number of seemingly strong contenders. (See complete list of Daytime Emmy nominations here.)

Those snubs include two of our predicted frontrunners: Best Supporting Actor favorite Blake Berris (“Days of Our Lives“) and Best Younger Actress leader Camryn Grimes (“The Young and the Restless“).

Also missing is five-time Emmy-winner Heather Tom (“The Bold and the Beautiful“), who had been nominated for Best Actress the last three years in a row, winning in 2012 and 2013. “General Hospital” standout Michelle Stafford is absent from the Supporting Actress lineup, while voters denied Peter Bergman a record-extending 20th Best Actor bid.
