2015 Emmy Awards: Complete List of Winners

The first-time host followed in the footsteps of other recent "Saturday Night Live" alums Seth Meyers (2014) and Jimmy Fallon (2010) in taking his first stab at the podium. No doubt Fox hoped that Samberg's live TV background and musical skills would make him a host to remember, but did the risk pay off?

Samberg won an Emmy in 2007 for his viral "D!ck In A Box" music video along with his Lonely Island bandmates and Justin Timberlake. And this year, though he was snubbed for acting on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," Samberg was an Emmy nominee for Best Variety Special Writing for "The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special," though he lost out to Louis C.K. for his stand-up stint "Live at the Comedy Store."

  1. To the editor of this article:In the case of Andy Samberg, define the word “brilliant”?If you mean if he is Steve Martin brilliant, then you’re an idiot. But if you meant to say brilliantly witty and keeping the audience in the aisles laughing all during the program, then you’ve watched a different Emmy awards then everyone else on the planet.Next year,NO HOST.
