Are you like me and mourn the absence of some of your favorite TV stars from the Emmy nominations every year? Our readers have been having their say on the subject in our forums. Add your favorite to that forums post here after reading a sampling of their suggestions below.
For the past five years in a row, I have been hoping in vain that the TV academy would nominate Eden Sher for Comedy Supporting Actress for her work as Sue Heck, eternal optimist and all-around do-gooder, on "The Middle." She is the heart and soul of that show and should have a shelf full of Emmys by now. Instead, she barely cracks our Top 10 contenders.
Heybrother: Would love to see Lauren Weedman get nominated for her incredible work this season on "Looking."
FrozenBarbie: Anything and anyone from "Rectify" (especially Aden Young) and "Justified" (especially Walton Goggins). Would love to see writing and series noms for both shows.
MysteriousRent: Two words: Yael Stone.
The BC. 2.0: I'd also love to see an Amy Landecker nod for "Transparent."
Boidiva02: Archie Panjabi… I just want her to win after all the non-sense she supposedly went through. As Kathy Griffin says, "Allegedly."
DS0816: Laura Carmichael in "Downton Abbey."
