In our new Golden Globe nominations slugfest (watch below), our editors say that their jaws were on the floor when Hollywood Foreign Press Association faves Meryl Streep (“Ricki and the Flash”) and Johnny Depp (“Black Mass”) were both snubbed. But the real debate comes later in our video smackdown when we question whether underdog Amy Schumer (“Trainwreck”) can actually take down frontrunner Jennifer Lawrence (“Joy”) as Best Comedy Actress. Yes, it can happen.

Watch Gold Derby editors Chris Beachum, Daniel Montgomery and Marcus James Dixon come out swinging in our Golden Globes predictions video below, and then be sure to have your say in our movie forum, where Hollywood insiders hide behind cyber handles.

  1. Go Jen!!…Lawrence is receiving rave reviews for JOY, is the biggest actress on the planet, is beloved by the industry. Jennifer Lawrence for the win!.

  2. Jennifer Lawrence should win this but I think she will just get nominated for the Oscar, even though the critics are being too harsh on Joy. I think David O Russell and this team can do no wrong.

  3. Meryl Streep being ignored for “Rikki and the Flash” can hardly be called a snub. The movie was awful and critically reviled. No one expected her to get nominated for anything, even at the Globes.
