Many of this year’s TV winners were unexpected, but Tucker chose wisely in several cases. Some of his most impressive picks were “Transparent” for Best Comedy Series, Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin“) for Best Comedy Actress, Ruth Wilson (“The Affair“) for Best Drama Actress, and Billy Bob Thornton (“Fargo“) for Best TV Movie/Limited Series Actor.
After Tucker, Thom Geier was a good bit behind in second place with 46% correct.
We then have an eight-place tie with 37% right: Joyce Eng (TV Guide), Pete Hammond (Deadline), Tom O’Neil (Gold Derby), Jenelle Riley (Variety), Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby), Peter Travers (Rolling Stone), Glenn Whipp (L.A. Times), and Susan Wloszczyna (RogerEbert.com).
All in all, Gold Derby’s O’Neil was best across the TV and film categories combined. He finished in second place for film and third place for television (see link below).
