grammy prediction scores

Congratulations to Cerulean for having the top score of 85% predicting the 2015 Grammy Award nominations announced on Monday. He tied two other people who also scored 85% accuracy picking the four categories, but he also earned a game point score of 13,350 by effectively using the 200 and 500 point bets, which places him at the very top.

Grammy Awards 2015: Complete list of nominations

Our score leader correctly predicted 17 out of 20 nominees across the four general field categories. Among his savviest picks, he was one of the few to anticipate the Album of the Year nomination for Chris Stapleton's "Traveller" and the Song of the Year bid for "Girl Crush" by Little Big Town. Overall he correctly forecast four out of five contenders for Record and Song, three for Best New Artist, and went five-for-five for Album of the Year.

The Grammys also picked "Really Love" by D'Angelo for Record of the Year, but we cannot include that in our results since it was not an option in our predictions center.

You can see how your score compares to his in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant's predictions. Or you can find your score by clicking on "My Award Scores," which appears in the gold menu bar when you're signed in to your account.

For his efforts, Cerulean wins a $100 Amazon gift card, pending Gold Derby evaluating his eligibility based upon our contest rules. He must meet eligibility requirements before the prize is awarded.

The one Expert who predicted these awards was Gold Derby's own Paul Sheehan, who finished with a score of 70% correct.

For our five Editors, Marcus Dixon and Matt Noble had the best score with 70% correct. Rob Licuria, Chris Beachum and I tied with 65% correct.

In order to win, you must have the highest accuracy percentage – and maybe more than that. If more than one player has the best accuracy, the winner is the person with the highest accuracy plus most game points. So, remember to place your three super bets when making predictions. Each player gets one super bet of 500 points and two of 200 points with all the other categories worth 100 points. Strategy is key. Place those super bets wisely and they could crown you our winner.
