Oscars mystery: What will 44 presenters do?

The lineup for Sunday’s Oscarcast numbers 44 bold-faced name with last year’s quartet of acting winners — leads Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett and featured players Jared Leto and Lupita Nyongo — leading the way. While we know that they will present the acting awards to their counterparts (i.e., McConaughey will give out Best Actress), what will the other 42 famous folks do?

Four of the Best Song nominees will be performed by their original artists:

Tegan & Sara w/ The Lonely Island: “Everything Is Awesome” from “The Lego Movie” 

Common and John Legend: “Glory” from “Selma

Rita Ora: “Grateful” from “Beyond the Lights” 

Maroon 5: “Lost Stars” from “Begin Again

The fifth song, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me” will be sung by Tim McGraw in place of the ailing Campbell. 

Also slated to perform are Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson and six-time Grammy champ Lady Gaga.  

Last year, a trio of stars — Harrison Ford, past Supporting Actress champ Goldie Hawn and Tyler Perry — each intro’d a montage of clips from three of the nine Best Picture nominees. Will this timesaver be repeated? Sound off in the comments section at the bottom of this post.
