Oscars predictions: Experts predict Common and John Legend will win Song for ‘Glory’ from ‘Selma’

All but two of our Oscar Experts predict that Golden Globes champs Common and John Legend will win Best Song for “Glory” from the biopic “Selma.” That overwhelming support gives these first-time contenders leading odds of 2/13. 

UPDATED: Experts’ Oscars predictions in 24 categories

Kevin Polowy (Yahoo) is backing the bid by Shawn Patterson, another rookie nominee, for his tune  “Everything Is Awesome” from “The Lego Movie.” That vote gives him odds of 16/1.

And Scott Feinberg (The Hollywood Reporter) likes the sound of “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from the documenatary “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me,” which was penned by the veteran star and Julian Raymond. They reaped their first Oscar bid for their efforts and also have odds of 16/1.

Another pair of first-time nominees, Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois, contend with “Lost Stars” from “Begin Again.” They are in fourth place with 50/1 odds.

And six-time Oscar also-ran Diane Warren is in fifth at 100/1 to finally win for her tune “Grateful” from “Beyond the Lights.”
