'Project Runway' shocker: Did you predict eliminated designer in 'Crew's All In'?

Benutty is one of four users to reap 67% accuracy predicting all of the questions in this week's contest, though he broke the tie with his high 10,710 point score thanks to using his special 500 and 200 point bets wisely. Since he is eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

"The key was really paying attention to Swapnil's season-long story arc," Benutty explains to Gold Derby. "For a few weeks now we watched him become disinterested in the competition and his work, and it reached a head last week when Zac was clearly fed up with his attitude and showed signs of wanting to eliminate him. I felt for sure this was all going to lead to his downfall this week."

According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by readers like you, Swapnil only had 13/2 odds (13% chance) of being eliminated. Instead, our contest players thought that either Merline Labissiere (5/6 odds) or Kelly Dempsey (5/1 odds) would be out. Be sure to update YOUR predictions right here.

Speaking of Kelly, Benutty admits that he "personally loves" the Boston designer. "I wanted to see her win so I predicted her to win. I lucked out there. Now I think Kelly is a major threat to win it all. As everyone else continues to falter, she keeps getting better and better."

  1. The worst episode of Project Runway ever. Tim Dunn cared more about his crew than about the designers. The very talented Swapnil eliminated because he couldn’t meet the impossible wishes of the prototype ‘Jewish princess’.

  2. Agree with disappointed. She was mad she was chosen so she should have let him make her into his woman..a bombshell…to show everybody her best and his. Tim Gunn saved her because swapnil was probably saving his best to show a second time at new York fashion week. Ashley however had a willing and open muse and she made a two seasons ago peplum floral dress I got for $10 at Ross 2 years ago. Merlin makes it happen..want to see what collectionher mind would conceive. Cut out vastly improved Kelly’s coverall. Awesome dressier biker dress and awesome to give the client handweaving from Edmond. Candice where u going in that..not model wrangling but hoe strolling.

  3. Shocked by Tim Gunn’s behavior on PR. I love Tim, but in his desire to protect Ms. Cohen, who obviously had her own agenda, behaved abhorrently and unprofessionally towards Swapnil. You should always leave someone with their dignity which Tim failed to do here. Ms. Cohen was saying cover this, cover that, etc. The first dress was not half bad. It covered her arms, gave a little splash of skin at the back and the length covered her legs which she wanted. After being reamed by Tim, I am surprised Swapnil did not just walk off so props to him for sticking it out. How do you create after being spoken to that way and being totally demoralized? Ms. Cohen got the outfit she deserved. Based on the shot of her face after hair and makeup, she didn’t look too happy with that either. Ashley should have gone home for that disaster of an outfit on that cute girl.

  4. Tim Gunn is extremely unprofessional. He had no business being so rude to a contestant, no matter how poor their work was. And the fact that he used foul language shows absolute lack of class. The fact that Swapnil was eliminated did not surprise me, but the way it was handled by Tim is truly disappointing. I thought he was a gentleman…clearly I am wrong!

  5. We are just now seeing Project Runway #14 on Canadian television and I am SHOCKED at the way Swapnil was berated by Tim Gunn. I totally agree with Disappointed. Tge way designers were assigned their “model” was very unfair.
