With Quentin Tarantino's upcoming "The Hateful Eight" doing so well in our Oscar prediction center, we took to our movie forums to find out what film from his playbook marks his greatest achievement to date. While this Hollywood heavyweight is a two-time Oscar winner for writing — "Pulp Fiction" (1994) and "Django Unchained" (2012) — he's yet to win for directing.
We asked our forum posters, many of whom are Hollywood insiders, to weigh in on Tarantino's filmography. Read some of their comments below, join the fierce debate in our red-hot forums here and make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of this post and cast your own Oscar ballot.
ThePerksOfBeingAGriff: My favorite will always be "Inglourious Basterds." The first ten minutes are another film all on its own.
Cinebear: "Pulp Fiction" is his most groundbreaking and audacious film, but I think "Inglorious Basterds" is his best.
CanadianFan: "Pulp Fiction," but "Inglourious Basterds," "Django Unchained," "Kill Bill Volume 1 + 2" and "Jackie Brown" are all excellent in their own right.
ATadPolish: "Reservoir Dogs" is my favourite Tarantino film, although all expect "Death Proof" are very good. "Dogs" just works on all levels for me though.
John: The best of them all? "Pulp Fiction." But it was a tough choice.
After voting in our poll, use our drag-and-drop menu at the bottom of this post to let us know if you think Tarantino has a chance at an Oscar nomination for directing "The Hateful Eight."
