Joe is at the top of our elimination chart with 3/2 odds to get his torch snuffed in Episode 9, titled “Livin’ On the Edge.” He also topped our chart last week, however, he won the Immunity challenge and was able to save himself. Can he do it again?

If Joe survives another week, our readers believe that Dan will get kicked off the island instead. The controversial Blue Collar castaway has 7/2 odds to get the boot, followed by Jenn Brown in third place with 11/2 odds and Mike Holloway in fourth place with 16/1 odds. If you go with Joe as your elimination prediction at 3/2 odds, you will only earn 150 points for a correct answer. However, if you predict Dan instead with your 500 point super bet, your point total will be much higher (1,750) because Dan’s 7/2 odds aren’t as good. This is where the strategy — and fun — comes into play here at Gold Derby when making your weekly predictions.

Do you think Joe or Dan’s torch will be snuffed next? There’s still time to visit our predictions center and make/update your forecasts before voting closes Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT. Don’t forget, whichever user earns the highest prediction accuracy and most points will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ recap: Did you predict shocking elimination in Episode 8?

Where do you fall on our overall Season 30 leaderboard?

After a hard-fought battle between Taloson and Smartdude for first place, Taloson finally took the lead this week. His overall prediction accuracy is 69%, followed by Smartdude in second place with 66% accuracy. Benutty is tied at 66%, but his point score (55,049) is lower than Smartdude’s (77,369) so that’s why Benutty is in our #3 position.

Fourth place goes to Sunhound with 59% accuracy, fifth place is JasonNolette with 53% accuracy and sixth place is Dfranco with 50% accuracy.

Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “Survivor” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for each episode is Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.

Our current overall leader Taloson didn’t even have Hali in his predictions to get the boot this week (see complete predix). However, he did so well at predicting previous “Survivor” episodes that he’s now the #1 reader to take down, proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

To vote for who think will go home next on “Survivor,” drag contestants over from the left to the right and arrange them in your predicted order. For example, if you think Jenn will be eliminated, make sure you put her in first place. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
