According to exclusive Gold Derby predictions, the next castaway to get their torch snuffed on “Survivor: Worlds Apart” is going to be either Joe Anglim, Dan Foley or Jenn Brown. Do you agree or disagree with those odds? Hurry — make your own predictions and you could win our weekly prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down and predicting who will be eliminated next.
Joe is at the top of our elimination chart with 13/8 odds to get his torch snuffed in Episode 9, titled “Livin’ On the Edge.” He also topped our chart last week, however, he won the Immunity challenge and was able to save himself. Can he do it again?
If Joe survives another week, our readers believe that Dan will get kicked off the island instead. The controversial Blue Collar castaway has 7/2 odds to get the boot, followed by Jenn in third place with 11/2 odds. Click here to see all of this week’s predictions.
If you go with Joe as your elimination prediction at 13/8 odds, you will only earn 162 points for a correct answer. However, if you predict Jenn instead with your special 500 point super bet, your point total will be much higher (2,750) because Jenn’s 11/2 odds aren’t as good. This is where the strategy — and fun — comes into play here at Gold Derby when making your weekly predictions.
Last week, I was among the 5% of users who correctly predicted the elimination of Hali Ford (see my predix). However, this week, I’m siding with the majority of users who think Joe’s time in the game is finally over. If he does manage to save himself by winning the Immunity challenge, my second place pick to go home is Jenn.
Whose torch do you think will be snuffed next? There’s still time to visit our predictions center and make/update your forecasts before voting closes Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT. The user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
Where do you fall on our overall Season 30 leaderboard?
After a hard-fought battle between Taloson and Smartdude for first place, Taloson finally took the lead this week. His overall prediction accuracy is 69%, followed by Smartdude in second place with 66% accuracy. Benutty is tied at 66%, but his point score (55,049) is lower than Smartdude’s (77,369) so that’s why Benutty is in our #3 position.
Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “Survivor” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for each episode is Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.
Our current overall leader Taloson didn’t even have Hali in his predictions to get the boot this week (see complete predix). However, he did so well at predicting previous “Survivor” episodes that he’s now the #1 reader to take down, proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
To vote for who think will go home next on “Survivor,” drag contestants over from the left to the right and arrange them in your predicted order. For example, if you think Jenn will be eliminated, make sure you put her in first place. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
