Only 18% of our users correctly pegged that this would be a non-elimination leg. And while 44% of us foresaw Tyler and Laura coming in first again, we overestimated the potential of Matt and Ashley, who were ranked second but ended up in last place. However, two-thirds of us nailed that there would not be a U-Turn and 1 in 10 predicted that Jelani and Jenny would win Date Night.
Ten of our users got three of the four weekly questions.
Of these, Magic 8 Ball broke the tie by racking up the most points. She savvily placed her 500-point superbet on this being a non-elimination leg when that option had odds of 10/1 and that earned her 5,000 points. And she picked up 560 points for predicting 200 points on Tyler and Laura winning this leg when their odds were 14/5. If she is eligible, as per our contest rules, she will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
In second place is Benny Wang, who racked up those same points for his predictions of those two outcomes. While he and Magic 8 Ball also both got it right that there would be no U-Turn, Magic had the edge with 80 points because she made this prediction when the odds were 4/5 while Benny locked his in at 1/2 and netted just 50 points.
JasonNolette solidified his first place standing on our overall leaderboard by also going three four four this week. He has overall average of 54% correct while Magic 8 Ball has risen to second place for the season to date with a score of 49%. That ties her with Erik10101.
