With the top 10 contenders performing on “The Voice” Monday night, the competition is getting fierce. There was barely a false note among the entire group, so the audience now voting at home has some tough decisions over the next few hours. That means you have tough calls as well if you want to win our predictions contest this week.
Do you know for certain which two artists will be eliminated? Hurry — make your predictions and you could win our weekly prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate and a place of honor on our reality TV leaderboards. You have until 5:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday to predict this week’s results. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down and predicting who will be eliminated next.
According to current Gold Derby odds generated by your votes over the past week, the most likely to go home this week are Hannah Kirby at 10/3 and Deanna Johnson at 4/3. In the bottom three but ultimately safe should be Rob Taylor at 15/2. Do you agree or are you predicting other people will be eliminated?
This week, the coaches are relying on some of the top producers in the music business as mentors. For Christina Aguilera, it is Mark Ronson (his “Uptown Funk” was a big hit for Bruno Mars). For Blake Shelton, it is his Nashville producer Scott Hendricks. For Adam Levine, it is Dave Stewart (best known for the Eurythmics). And for Pharrell Williams, it is Ryan Tedder (who has worked with Adele and OneRepublic).
Here is our recap of Monday’s performances with odds for elimination noted:
Kimberly Nichole (Team Christina; 100/1 odds) sang “Something’s Got a Hold on Me” by Etta James.
Joshua Davis (Team Adam; 100/1 odds) performed “Hold Back the River” by James Bay.
Hannah Kirby (Team Blake; 10/3 odds) took on “Shout” by Tears for Fears.
Meghan Linsey (Team Blake; 33/1 odds) sang “Home” by Marc Broussard.
Deanna Johnson (Team Adam; 4/1 odds) chose the song “Somebody to Love” by Jefferson Airplane.
Rob Taylor (Team Christina; 15/2 odds) sang “A Song for You” by Donny Hathaway.
Sawyer Fredericks (Team Pharrell; 100/1 odds) selected “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls.
India Carney (Team Christina; 50/1 odds) performed “Run to You” by Whitney Houston.
When making your own predictions, remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering the week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your big 500 and 200 point bets strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a long shot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points. As we use those point totals to break ties when more than one user tops our leaderboard with the same number of correct answers, don’t take them for granted.
That’s how Denton Davidson, one of Gold Derby’s top predictors, was our champ once again for last week’s prediction contest. Along with just two other people (JasonNolette and SoCA K-Man), he scored 100% by correctly predicting all the results for the Top 12 week. Last week, the official Gold Derby odds predicted that Brian Johnson would be eliminated, but collectively we were way off base thinking Mia Z was safe. These three Users got it absolutely right, though. Davidson was also our champ the previous week for the Top 20 episode.
