Negan, welcome to "The Walking Dead." The big death on Sunday's mid-season finale of "The Walking Dead" opened up an empty slot in our prediction contest, and who better to fill it than the upcoming villain played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan? The zombie series returns February 14 with all-new episodes, but you can make your "The Walking Dead" predictions now for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift certificate. It's fun and easy, so get started by scrolling down to predict which character will be killed off next.
Negan's name was mentioned in the final moments of the post-credits sequence of last week's episode, titled "Start to Finish." (If you missed it, scroll down to watch the video.) Now that Negan has been added to our prediction center, start casting your votes for whether you think he will die … or who he might kill first.
For fans of the show that don't necessarily read the comics, here's what showrunner Scott M. Gimple told our sister site TV Line about Morgan's new character: "Negan is terrifying in that he isn't a psychopath. He's charismatic and funny. And even sort of friendly. But he just kills, and it doesn't bother him. He's the star of his own movie and we're all Red Shirts. He's not nuts. But you can't reason with him because he's got it all worked out. He knows exactly the way the world works. And he's the one in control."
Congratulations to our reader SamEckmann for earning the top score in last week's contest. He's one of nine contest entrants to reap perfect 100% accuracy predicting all of the questions last week, though he broke the tie with his high 3,685 point score thanks to using his special 500 and 200 point bets wisely. If eligible, as per our contest rules, he will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
This reader's winning predictions were that Deanna would appear to die amongst the group of Recurring characters, that no Main or Minor characters would die, that more than 10 walkers would die, and that a walker would bite someone.
Check out the overall Season 6 leaderboard to the right. Currently our #1 "TWD" predictor is SamEckmann with overall 80% accuracy and 39,919 points, but there are still many weeks left to play in our contest before season's end. Don't forget to update YOUR predictions here.
At the end of each week, the eligible user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate, so it's beneficial to keep coming back often and making/updating your predictions.

Remember that coming out on top doesn't just mean answering that week's questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don't take them for granted.
