Tony Awards performance: ‘An American in Paris’ cast dance to Gershwin songs (Video)

The adaptation of the 1951 Best Picture Oscar winner “An American in Paris” earned a leading 12 nominations at this year’s Tony Awards and won four creative races, including choreography. Ballet stars Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope made their Broadway debuts as the star-crossed lovers at the heart of this valentine to Paris.

Both earned Tony nominations as did featured performers Brandon Uranowitz and Max von Essen who joined them in this medley of Gershwin songs, including “An American in Paris (pas de deux),” “S Wonderful” and “I Got Rhythm.”
