Congratulations to Ryan Lapierre for a great 69% prediction rate for the 2016 ACM Awards winners on Sunday. He also had a terrific point total of 6,390 by using his 500 and 200 point bets wisely.
Over 360 people worldwide predicted the winners in 13 categories. Our top scorer got nine of those correct, including Miranda Lambert (female vocalist), Chris Stapleton (male vocalist, album, song), Florida Georgia Line (vocal duo), and Little Big Town (vocal group). He did miss out on the top category of Entertainer of the Year by choosing Garth Brooks over actual winner Jason Aldean.
You can see how your score compares to his in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant's predictions. Or you can find your score by clicking on "My Award Scores," which appears in the gold menu bar when you're signed in to your account.
If eligibile as per our contest rules, Ryan Lapierre will receive a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
Gold Derby's executive editor Paul Sheehan was the only Expert making predictions. He finishes with 54% accuracy (seven out of 13 categories correct).
Among Gold Derby's four Editors, Marcus Dixon, Rob Licuria, Daniel Montgomery, and I also have 54% accuracy for the Academy of Country Music Awards event.
