Tomorrow on “American Idol,” our readers believe that either MacKenzie Bourg or Dalton Rapattoni will be sent packing in fourth place. Do you agree or disagree with their forecasts? Hurry — make your “American Idol” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards and win a $100 Amazon gift certificate. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down to predict which singer will win Season 15.
According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, singer-songwriter MacKenzie tops our elimination chart with leading 2/3 odds (60% chance) of going home Thursday night. During last week’s performance show, he sang “I Want You to Want Me” and “Titanium” and earned mostly positive feedback from the judges. However, they were quick to point out that his slowed-down “Mackenzied” versions of the songs could have been better.
Somewhat surprisingly, Dalton was in America’s bottom two last week but wound up safe while Sonika Vaid was voted out. Now Dalton is in second place to be ousted with 3/1 odds (25% chance) after singing “God Only Knows” and “Bird Set Free” last week.
Rounding out the other two contestants, Trent Harmon is in third place to get the boot with 7/1 odds (13% chance), followed by La’Porsha Renae in fourth place with 50/1 odds (2% chance). However, last week’s $100 contest champ Denton Davidson is going out on a limb and predicting La’Porsha to be eliminated this week — read his quotes here.
Can YOU take down our top-scoring reader Benutty to earn bragging rights and a place on our Season 15 leaderboard? For the entire season so far, he has leading 87% accuracy and 18,905 points, but there is still time left to play in our contest.
In our “American Idol” predictions center, you get to answer the following questions before each episode airs on Fox every Thursday at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.:
Who will win ‘American Idol’?
Who will come in second place?
Who will come in third place?
Who will come in fourth place?
At the end of each week, the eligible user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will be the leaderboard champ for the week, so it’s beneficial to keep coming back often and making/updating your predictions.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
