Our readers believe that either Sonika Vaid or Dalton Rapattoni will be sent packing on Thursday’s “American Idol.” Do you agree or disagree with their forecasts? Hurry — make your “American Idol” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down to predict who will be eliminated next.
According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, Sonika tops our elimination chart with leading 2/13 odds (88% chance) of going home Thursday night. During last week’s Top 5 performance show, she sang “Let It Go” and “Clarity” and earned mostly positive feedback from the judges. However, Sonika has been in America’s bottom two for the past two weeks in a row, so it’s unlikely she will advance.
Somewhat surprisingly, Dalton is in second place to be ousted with 12/1 odds (7% chance) after singing “Numb” and “The Sound of Silence” last week. However, don’t count out Dalton just yet. As I told the New York Post this week, “He fits right in with the ‘rocker guy’ mentality that’s won so many times in the past: David Cook, Caleb Johnson, Nick Fradiani.”
Rounding out the other three contestants, MacKenzie Bourg and Trent Harmon are tied in third place to get the boot with 40/1 odds apiece (2% chance), followed by La’Porsha Renae in fifth place with 100/1 odds (0% chance). Can YOU take down our top-scoring reader Zach Attack next week to earn bragging rights and a place on our Season 15 leaderboard? For the entire season so far, he has leading 89% accuracy and 68,801 points, but there are still many weeks left to play in our contest.
In our “American Idol” predictions center, you get to answer the following questions before each episode airs on Fox every Thursday at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.:
Who will win ‘American Idol’?
Who will be in the bottom 2?
Which singer will be eliminated?
At the end of each week, the eligible user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will be the leaderboard champ for the week, so it’s beneficial to keep coming back often and making/updating your predictions.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
