“Dancing With the Stars” fans just like you are predicting the season 22 premiere, which airs tonight (March 21), and you can keep making your predictions right up until the minute the live show starts at 8:00 p.m. ET; 5:00 p.m. PT. And as of now, NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown gets best odds to win the Mirror Ball Trophy. (Click here for our complete predictions for the season premiere.)
No one’s foot has touched the ballroom floor just yet, but Brown leads our predictions with odds of 12/5, which translates to a 30% chance of winning. That’s good news for his pro partner Sharna Burgess, who is still waiting for her first Mirror Ball Trophy after six seasons on the show.
One of our resident reality-TV experts, Denton Davidson, agrees that Brown is the early favorite to win the title: check out his power rankings for the six male “DWTS” contestants, and also take a look at Davidson’s predictions for tonight. Davidson has won multiple contests for predicting reality TV, including other live shows like “American Idol,” “Big Brother,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and “The Voice.”
Ranked second in our predictions with 7/2 odds (21% chance of winning) is “Fuller House” actress Jodie Sweetin. And her partner Keo Motsepe sure hopes so; this is his fourth season as a pro, but he was eliminated either first or second in all three of his previous outings.
Next up is UFC fighter Paige VanZant with 9/2 odds (18% chance); she’ll be joined by two-time “DWTS” champ Mark Ballas. Ranked fourth in our predictions is model Nyle DiMarco (8/1 odds, 11% chance), who dances with one-time past champ Peta Murgatroyd. And rounding out our top five is NFL linebacker and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller (12/1 odds, 8% chance), who hopes pro partner Witney Carson will guide him to a Mirror Ball title just like she did for Alfonso Ribeiro in season 19.
But who will be eliminated first? Our predictors don’t think anyone will go home in this first week of competition. There’s a 59% chance of a non-elimination round according to our predictors (8/11 odds), but not everyone agrees. TV journalist Geraldo Rivera gets 11/2 odds (15% chance) of being sent home, followed by actresses Marla Maples and Kim Fields, both at 20/1 odds (5% chance).
So who do you think will win and lose? In our “Dancing with the Stars” predictions center, you get to answer the following questions before each episode airs on ABC every Monday at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.:
Who will win ‘Dancing with the Stars’?
Which star will be eliminated?
Who will receive the judges’ HIGHEST score?
Who will receive the judges’ LOWEST score?
How many 10s will the judges give out?
At the end of each week, the eligible user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will be the leaderboard champ for the week, so it’s beneficial to keep coming back often and making/updating your predictions.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
