[POLL] ‘Dancing with the Stars’ team dances: Was Team Past really better than Team Future?

The final eight teams performed on “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday night for “Eras Night,” in which the contestants performed routines inspired by different decades of 20th century dance and music. But the episode also included team dances, in which the couples split up into groups of four. Which really had the better routine? Watch Team Past above and Team Future below, then vote in our poll at the bottom of this post.

Team Past consisted of James Hinchcliffe, Calvin Johnson, Ryan Lochte and Maureen McCormick, who was ultimately eliminated at the end of the night. Their elegant routine, scored two nines and two 10s for a total of 38 out of 40.

Joining forces for Team Future were Laurie Hernandez, Marilu Henner, Jana Kramer and Terra Jole. Their routine was going fairly well until one major blunder: Henner had a nasty slip and fall in the middle of the dance floor. The team still ended up receiving respectful numbers from the judges — one eight and three nines, for a total of 35 — but the damage was done and Henner ended up at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard for the first time this season.
