“I saw you dancing like you’re going to take that Mirror Ball Trophy.” That’s what “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said to country singer and actress Jana Kramer after her steamy Argentine tango with partner Gleb Savchenko on “Latin Night” on October 17 (watch above). Kramer’s scores had put her in the middle of the pack for most of season 23 so far, but this week she soared to the top in dramatic fashion, getting perfect 10s from all judges: Inaba, Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli and special guest judge Pitbull.
Hough said of Kramer’s breakthrough performance, “Now that is chemistry … Tonight you owned that dance.” Tonioli added that it was “sensational” and “pulsing with lust.” He’s not kidding — Kramer and Savchenko’s routine was arguably one of the most provocative in “DWTS” history, starting in a bed, and ending in the shower. Savchenko couldn’t even keep his shirt on while they were receiving their glowing reviews from the judges.
None of our predictions contest entrants saw that coming. In our racetrack odds, Kramer had distant 100/1 odds of getting the high score. She also had 100/1 odds of winning the Mirror Ball Trophy at the end of the season. But now she’s only the second contestant to deliver a perfect dance, following Laurie Hernandez‘s Michael Jackson-inspired jazz routine on “Cirque du Soleil Night.” Will this improve her prediction rankings? That’s up to you.
