Emmy Awards 2016 exclusive: Lifetime campaign and category placement sneak peek

Lifetime History A&E UnReal Roots War and Peace Project Runway Born This Way

In a Gold Derby exclusive, we have learned the category placements of the key Emmy Awards contenders for the Lifetime network. Last year this cable network scored major nominations with bids for limited series actor Adrien Brody ("Houdini") and reality-competition program "Project Runway" as well as its hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.

Below, the list of Lifetime submissions across the drama, limited series and reality categories. Because Universal handles the campaign for "Bates Motel," it will be included on their list rather than this one. Two limited series — "Roots" and "War and Peace" — are also part of the History Channel and A&E campaigns. (Please note: Performers not included on this list may well be submitted by their personal reps.)

  1. My vote would go to Shiri Appleby. Shiri’s been working in the business for over 30 years and has 70+ roles to her credit.Having seen just about all of them I can say she gave the best performance of her career and the best performance of 2015. In my opinion of course. It’s a shame shes on a great show nobody is watching. At least the critics love it.
