Oscar screeners: DreamWorks Animation sends ‘Trolls’ with Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick

It is a good time to be an Oscar voter if you are a fan of animated fare. In the last 10 days, academy members have received screeners of Disney’s “Zootopia,” the current frontrunner to win Best Animated Feature; Columbia’s R-rated entry “Sausage Party”; Universal’s summer hit “The Secret Life of Pets”; and Pixar’s blockbuster “Finding Dory.”

And on Wednesday, DreamWorks Animation delivered DVDs of “Trolls,” a  3D computer-animated musical comedy inspired by on the dolls of the same name. Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick give voice to the two trolls at the center of the story. Timberlake did double duty as he was also executive producer of the film’s music, including his summer hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” which could well contend for Best Original Song.
