After seven straight challenges either safe or scored as a top design, Dexter Simmons dropped into the bottom last week, barely escaping elimination. Following that swift turn of events, we’re now predicting him with 11/5 odds as the next elimination on Season 15 of “Project Runway.” Also in danger this week are Mah-Jing Wong with 27/10 odds and Cornelius Ortiz with 9/2 odds. Do you agree or disagree with our readers’ findings? Hurry — make your “Project Runway” Season 15 predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by predicting who will be out next.
On this week’s episode “Life Is Full of Surprises,” the designers will be visited by a loved one who will become their client in the upcoming challenge. Cornelius, above everyone, will be riding a huge wave of emotion after receiving Tim Gunn‘s save last week, saving him from the elimination the judges had just delivered to him. His placement as one of the three most likely designers to be eliminated is no surprise, but even then both Dexter and Mah-Jing are polling as more likely candidates to leave the competition.
Dexter’s fate continues to be foreshadowed by the disconnection between his own confidence in his designs and the eventual negative reaction from the judges. Both he and Erin Robertson, far from the scope of elimination this week with 100/1 odds, have fallen out of favor with the panel after strong starts to the season despite their growing egos in the workroom. On the other hand, Mah-Jing has felt out of place among the other designers, often at odds with them when placed on a team, and is scoring consistently in the middle of the pack.
