For the second week in a row, Laurence Basse tops our predictions as the frontrunner to win this season of “Project Runway” with 21/20 odds. And for the first time this season, Roberi Parra makes it near the top of the leaderboard in second place with 11/2 odds, while Erin Robertson drops to third with 6/1, her lowest placement yet. It’s fun and easy, so start now by predicting who will be out next.
The big story in our predictions this week is that Roberi gets enough votes to vault him into second place as one of the most likely winners of the season. In the last two weeks Roberi has won one challenge and placed second in the other, a stark contrast from being a low score in the season’s first challenge. This upswing in his performance with the judges is a clear factor in the boost of confidence among predictors.
In an opposite turn, Erin’s place in the competition continues to weaken. For four weeks running she’s placed in the bottom three designs with the judges and has slid in our predictions from a steady first place to her now lowest position to date in third. Erin has the longest streak of poor performances out of all the designers left in the competition and will need to turn it around if she’s going to make it to the finale.
Laurence leads our poll for the second week in a row, taking Erin’s place as the most consistent designer week to week. She boasts the most high scores (five of nine) of the season and is the only designer to not be among the bottom looks in any week. With that resume, she’s clearly headed to the finale and is one of the safest bets to win.
