Erin Robertson’s season-long dominance in our “Project Runway” predictions to win has finally come to an end. After three straight weeks of top two scores with the judges, Laurence Basse has overtaken Erin to become our new frontrunner. Laurence now leads the pack with 7/5 odds to win compared to Erin, who falls to second place with 3/1 odds. Do you agree or disagree with our readers’ findings? Hurry — make your “Project Runway” Season 15 predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by predicting who will be out next.
The last two weeks have been no walk in the park for Erin, who was our odds leader to win for the entire season. In the first five challenges, Erin managed four high scores of which two resulted in wins. Then in the sixth and seventh challenges her confidence got the best of her and the judges gave her back-to-back low scores. As she slips, Laurence has gained steam, culminating last week in her second challenge win following two runner-up placements in the weeks prior.
Laurence is joined by Dexter Simmons as the only designers to never receive a low score, but confidence in Dexter has failed to rise — he still has longshot odds to win at 100/1. Instead, Laurence and Erin’s closest competitors are Nathalia JMag with 11/2 odds and Cornelius Ortiz with 14/1odds, both of whom have had an uneven rapport with the judges.
Cornelius almost went home last week, perhaps ultimately spared by the fact that the ousted Brik Allen had been in the bottom way too often to save once again. Nathalia was last week’s challenge runner-up, but that’s her first high mark in a challenge. If she can keep that momentum up, she’s likely to make the fashion week finale and vie for the win.
