The 2016 SAG Awards air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on TBS and TNT starting at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET Saturday (January 30). These kudos honor the best in film and TV acting in 2015 and are decided by the more than 150,000 members of the combined SAG-AFTRA guild.
So who will win? We’re predicting all 15 categories at the SAG Awards, and we’re expecting six different winners in the half dozen film races, with top honors going to the “Spotlight” ensemble and lead performers Brie Larson (“Room“) and Leonardo DiCaprio (“The Revenant“). On the TV side, we’re forecasting HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and “Veep” to take two awards apiece. The remaining five awards will be divided between five different shows, including a repeat win for returning champ Viola Davis (“How to Get Away with Murder“) and first-time individual victories for Jon Hamm (“Mad Men“) and Jeffrey Tambor (“Transparent“). Among those expected to present are Patricia Arquette, Abraham Attah, Christian Bale, Jason Bateman, Steve Carell, Priyanka Chopra, Bryan Cranston, Taye Diggs, Idris Elba, Anna Faris, Ryan Gosling, Jon Hamm, Corey Hawkins, Ken Howard, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Michael Keaton, Keegan-Michael Key, Diane Lane, Brie Larson, Eva Longoria, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anthony Mackie, Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, Jason Mitchell, Demi Moore, Julianne Moore, Pedro Pascal, Eddie Redmayne, Jeremy Renner, Saoirse Ronan, Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Sarah Silverman, J.K. Simmons, Jacob Tremblay and Kristen Wiig.
The ceremony will also include the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary comedian Carol Burnett. That award will be handed out by above mentioned funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
