On this week’s episode of “Survivor: Millenials vs. Gen X,” Season 33’s standout castaway David Wright found a second hidden immunity idol and considered using it on his close ally CeCe Taylor to keep her from being eliminated after the tribe switch. Instead, he fell victim to peer pressure and went along with Chris Hammons, Zeke Smith and Michelle Schubert to oust CeCe. Was that a smart idea on David’s part, or a purely boneheaded move? Be sure to vote in our poll and sound off in the comments section below.
After the Millennial and Gen X tribes were disbanded and split up into three new tribes — Vanua (orange), Takali (purple) and Ikabula (green) — CeCe looked to be at a numbers advantage for the first time in the game, since her new Vanua tribe had three former Gen X-ers and only two former Millennials. Unfortunately, Chris was still angry that David bested him at previous tribal councils and so he was willing to work with his two young new teammates in order to get out CeCe, who he saw as the tribe’s weakest member.
When David caught wind of the plan, he contemplated whether to use his idol to save CeCe, just as he had done the week prior with Jessica Lewis. For reasons not revealed on camera, David eventually went with the majority and voted out CeCe, much to her (and the audience’s) confusion. “My two fellow Gen X-ers voted against me and going forward they’re gonna lose,” CeCe revealed after her blindside. “I think it was the dumbest mistake that they made.”
