“The reason I was adamant about not taking out Julia Sokolowski was, you do not appease tyrants,” says the latest “Survivor: Kaoh Rong” castoff Debbie Wanner to Gold Derby, referring to Brawn tribe members Scot Pollard and Kyle Jason. “I don’t put up with bullies and misogyny and patronizing and commanding. You’re no stallion and I’m not your mare. And I don’t care how much testosterone you’ve got in this body, I can still get rid of you.”

According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, Debbie’s ouster was a shocker as she only had 20/1 odds (5% chance) of being sent packing. That put her in fifth place on our elimination chart for this week’s episode, titled “It’s Psychological Warfare.”
“The girls played it safe, they really did,” continues Debbie. “They were afraid of the guys, especially Aubry Bracco, that they were gonna take her out somehow. And I actually overheard them talking about it — Jason and Tai Trang were going to give up their idols to save a millionaire’s (Scot) butt. So I wanted to go 2-2-2 for the guys, split it two for each guy, see who coughs up an idol, see how brave they are now, but I just couldn’t get the girls to do it.”
Since Aubry’s decision is the reason Debbie left the game, what does Debbie think of her today? “Aubry was very neurotic and hyper-sensitive, and I mean that with all due respect, because it did keep her in the game. Everything was over-analyzed, and I just don’t live my life like that. But it was good for her game, and taking me out was the safe thing to do.”
Also in our chat, Debbie reveals what she would have done differently if she had a do-over, whether she’d ever play “Survivor” again, and who she wants to win the $1 million. Click the video above to listen to our Q&A podcast.
