“I think the best player is Kyle Jason, but he’s playing the wrong game, he’s playing the Russell Hantz game,” admits the first “Survivor: Kaoh Rong” castoff Darnell Hamilton to Gold Derby following his elimination. “Also, I think that Alecia Holden has the best chance to win because she’s really likable. And I think likable in this game will win you the million dollars over playing aggressive.”
Listen to our full exit interview above and then make your “Survivor” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down to predict who will be voted out next.
According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that were derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, Darnell’s elimination was a shocker as only had 25/1 odds (4% chance) of being voted out first. Click on the right-hand chart for more predictions from the first episode, titled “I’m a Mental Giant.”
Darnell’s Brawn tribe ended up voting him out because he lost the goggles during the challenge. Since the episode was filmed a year ago, how often does Darnell live through that moment?
“I thought about it for a long time, but I really don’t dwell on things too long,” he explains. “You can’t let stuff like that just tear you down because otherwise you’re just stuck in the same place. I didn’t really think about it until now and then I’m like, ‘Oh man, here it goes.'”
Also in our chat, Darnell talks about being “confused” by the tie vote between him and Alecia, the “crazy” experience of the bug in Jennifer Lanzetti‘s ear, his brief alliance with Cydney Gillon, and he reveals what we didn’t see on TV. Click the video above to listen to our Q&A podcast.
Can YOU take down our top-scoring reader Bird next week to earn bragging rights and a place on our Season 32 leaderboard?
In our “Survivor” predictions center, you get to answer the following questions before each episode airs on CBS every Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.:
Who will win ‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’?
Which castaway will be eliminated?
Who will win the Reward challenge?
Who will win the Immunity challenge?
Will a hidden Immunity idol be played?
Will anybody quit or be medically evacuated?
At the end of each week, the eligible user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will be the leaderboard champ for the week, so it’s beneficial to keep coming back often and making/updating your predictions.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
