Despite holding an overwhelming majority heading into this week’s merge on “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X,” we’re predicting that one of two Millennials on the chopping block will be eliminated. Most likely to go is Jay Starrett with 9/5 odds after his bold move last week to oust fan-favorite Michaela Bradshaw is unlikely to impress his peers. If Jay isn’t the one to go, it might be his one-time ally Michelle Schubert who has 4/1 odds of elimination. Do you agree or disagree with our readers’ findings? Jay made his first (and maybe last) big move in the game last week when he followed the lead set by the other tribes and chose to eliminate one of his alliance members from their majority instead of taking out a Gen X-er. With the full scope of the game available to audiences, many believe Jay made the wrong move and has set himself up for his own blindside from the other Millennials in this week’s merge episode, titled “I’m the Kingpin.” The idea is that Jay will believe the Millennials are sticking together to take out the Gen X players one by one and will not use his hidden idol at Tribal Council. If he isn’t the Immunity challenge winner then this could be the end of Jay’s game and he may be blindsided.
There is the chance that Jay will either win immunity or catch wind of the plan and use his hidden idol to save himself. In the event of one of those scenarios, Millennials Zeke Smith and Adam Klein who have already bonded with Gen X players on their own may instead set their sights on one of Jay’s closest allies. The likeliest threat there is Michelle, who has failed to build trust with any remaining players other than Jay and Taylor Stocker.
In the unlikely event that the Millennials do decide to stick together — and why would they, as this season has been defined not by original tribe alliances, but by new, ever-evolving ones — the Gen X-ers believed to be in danger are Bret LaBelle (15/2 odds) and Sunday Burquest (25/1 odds), both of whom Jay spared last week. Bret and Sunday have bonded the least with members from the other tribes so far this season, leaving them vulnerable to continuing weeks in a minority alliance.
