It takes a lot of guts to attempt an Adele performance on live TV, but that is what Hannah Huston did on Monday’s episode of “The Voice.” What did you think of her performance of the song “Rolling in the Deep” (watch above)? Give your letter grade A-F in our new poll below.
Huston is a Nebraska native and 24-year-old teacher. Her coach for this 10th season of the NBC reality program is Grammy winning Producer of the Year and artist Pharrell Williams, who had the top artist, Sawyer Fredericks, during the eighth season.
Her song choices so far this season have been “Unaware” by Allen Stone (blind audition), “Elastic Heart'” by Sia (battle round), “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals (knockout round), “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin (live round one), “Something’s Got a Hold on Me” by Etta James (top 12), “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt (top 11), and “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele (top 10).
Gold Derby contributing writer Denton Davidson wrote of her performance on Monday: “Delivering her best performance in weeks, Huston finally gave a performance worthy of a potential finalist. The song choice was key here, and allowed her to deliver easy, clear, powerful vocals without too much struggle. She will easily move forward with this performance.”
And now it’s your chance to grade Huston. Give her an A, B, C, D or F for Monday’s performance.
