It’s no surprise that the season seven premiere of “The Walking Dead” was controversial. Season six ended on a cliffhanger last spring, leaving fans waiting for months to find out who the nefarious Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed. On Sunday night, October 23, fans finally found out (SPOILER ALERT): Negan offed not only one but two major characters, first Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and then Glenn (Steven Yeun).
The reactions in our forums are pretty polarized so far. Was it award-worthy, or are you quitting “The Walking Dead” for good. Read some of our forum posters’ comments below, and join the discussion in our TV forum.
JackO: Damn it! Why was the premiere so well done? I wanted to quit this show in peace!
Denis: Just hand on the Emmy to Andrew Lincoln, there is not anyone more deserving.
babypook: Yes, it’s “The Walking Dead”. Horror. But watching sadism and torture like this isn’t my thing.
dwb585: Goodbye “Walking Dead”! I understand all the crap that get’s thrown around about this show being about the zombie apocalypse and you can’t expect everyone to live, and on many occasions I’ve had to see a character go who I really had invested time in, but this was just torture porn, plain and simple.
