Did you predict that no one would die on AMC’s all-new episode of “The Walking Dead,” titled “East,” and that less than 10 walkers would be obliterated? If so, you should be taking place in our weekly prediction contest. Hurry — make your “The Walking Dead” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so get started by scrolling down to predict which character will be killed off next.
According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by readers like you, no characters were predicted to die in this episode that featured two different groups going outside the walls to bring back Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), who wanted revenge on Dr. Denise’s death, and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), who decided to leave Alexandria last week. The episode ended with the evil Dwight shooting Daryl, but will he survive next week’s Season 6 finale?
Our contest entrants who predicted the deaths in this episode gave the “No One” option leading 3/10 odds (76% chance), followed by Daryl at 11/1 odds (8% chance) and Carol at 14/1 odds (6% chance). Everyone who correctly forecasted “No One” earns points based on the racetrack odds they locked in throughout the week.
Congratulations to SamEckmann, UberTag and myself for earning the top score in this week’s contest. We are three of eight contest entrants to reap perfect 100% accuracy predicting all of the questions this week, though we broke the tie with our high 6,600 point scores thanks to using our special 500 and 200 point bets wisely.
These readers’ winning predictions were that no Main, Recurring or Minor characters would be killed off, that less than 10 walkers would die, and that a walker would not bite someone.
