TV Land is hoping that their critically acclaimed series “Younger” can make a name for itself at this year’s Emmys the same way that television legend Betty White scored a Best Comedy Supporting Actress bid for the network’s “Hot in Cleveland” back in 2011. “Younger” is front and center in the cablecaster’s sleek FYC mailer that just got sent out to all 19,000 TV academy members. See photos above.
“Younger,” which stars two-time Tony champ Sutton Foster and People’s Choice Award nominee Hilary Duff, receives a four-page spread filled with critical praise as well as DVDs of its entire 12-episode second season. Will Emmy voters agree with the critics and with our own David Buchanan, who writes, “Foster’s magnetic performance breathes new life into the well-worn premise of the series”?
