Congratulations to Axolotlman for a perfect score predicting the 2016 Visual Effects Society Awards winners on Tuesday. He actually tied with a User named Basketball but had the best point total of 9,148 by using his 500 and 200 point bets wisely.
Over 550 people worldwide predicted the winners in three film categories. The VES members chose “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (feature), “The Revenant” (supporting), and “The Good Dinosaur” (animation) for this year’s trophies.
You can see how your score compares to his in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant’s predictions. Or you can find your score by clicking on “My Award Scores,” which appears in the gold menu bar when you’re signed in to your account.
For his efforts, Axolotlman wins a $100 Amazon gift card, pending Gold Derby evaluating his eligibility based upon our contest rules.
Among Gold Derby’s four Editors, Marcus Dixon, Rob Licuria, Daniel Montgomery, and I are all tied with 34% correct.
