2017 Emmy ballot: See all 180 Best Drama Series contenders from ‘The Affair’ to ‘Z: The Beginning of Everything’

On the 2017 Emmy ballot, an extraordinary number of Best Drama Series have been submitted for awards consideration — 180, to be exact. Gone are the years when Emmy voters were encouraged to mark off 10 dramas on their ballots, as this year’s new rule instructs TV academy members to “Vote for as many achievements in this category that you have seen and feel are worthy of a nomination.” How do you think the new rule might affect the Emmy race? Sound off down in the comments section or join the discussion in our fun TV forums.

Remember, only seven of the below shows will earn nominations for Best Drama Series when the noms are announced on July 13. HBO’s two-time reigning champ “Game of Thrones” is ineligible as it did not air within the Emmy cycle, as is “Downton Abbey” which finished its run last year. The other five series nominees are all back in the running again: “The Americans” (FX), “Better Call Saul” (AMC), “Homeland” (Showtime), “House of Cards” (Netflix) and “Mr. Robot” (USA).
