2018 Golden Globes TV snubs: ‘Veep,’ ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ ‘Mindhunter’ shut out, 3 ‘Will & Grace’ stars skunked

Nominations for the 75th Golden Globe Awards were announced on Monday, December 11, and while many contenders earned expected bids, several shows and stars were shockingly snubbed. Leading our list of jawdropping snubs is “Veep,” which Gold Derby predicted would win Golden Globes for Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Actress (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Despite cleaning up at the Emmys each year, the show has never won a single Golden Globe.

HBO’s return of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” a former Globe champion, was also shunned, as was Larry David. Netflix’s hit new crime thriller “Mindhunter” and lead Jonathan Groff were also left off the ballot. And while NBC’s revival of “Will & Grace” earned bids for Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Actor (Eric McCormack), three of its stars were skunked: Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally. Like “Veep,” “Will & Grace” has never prevailed at the Golden Globes despite being anointed at the Emmys.

The Golden Globe winners will be revealed during a live telecast January 7 on NBC beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT and hosted for the first time by “Late Night” star Seth Myers. Here’s our list of the 20 most shocking TV snubs at the 2018 Golden Globes, according to our predictions:
