‘America’s Got Talent’ 2017: 9-year-old Angelica Hale earns Chris Hardwick’s Golden Buzzer [WATCH]

Guest judge Chris Hardwick made waves on Tuesday’s Judge Cuts episode of “America’s Got Talent” by anointing nine-year-old singer Angelica Hale with his Golden Buzzer. (See the complete list of “AGT” 2017 Golden Buzzers below.) Last time the talented tyke sang “Rise Up” for her audition and was cool as a cucumber, but this time around Hale admitted that she was “a little more nervous, but still excited.” Watch Angelica Hale’s Judge Cuts video above.

As a reminder, when she was just four years old Hale was diagnosed with kidney disease and so her mother donated one of hers. With her goal of being the next Whitney Houston, Hale took the next step Tuesday night by slaying “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys.

At the conclusion of her flawless performance, the audience started shouting, “Golden Buzzer! Golden Buzzer!” Since the other four judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel — had already utilized their buzzers for Season 12, that meant that Hardwick was in the hot seat. What would he do?

“I mean, I’m so blown away because you walk out and you’ve got these sneakers on and you look like this adorable little child,” Hardwick readily admits. “And then you open your mouth and it’s like, how do those pipes fit in that tiny body? You are unbelievable! I just feel like … Angelica? You are the chosen one!” Hardwick then slams his down on the Golden Buzzer and the stage erupts in confetti.

Angelica Hale’s prize is to go straight through to the “AGT” live shows, joining all of the other Golden Buzzer acts in our photo gallery below. What do YOU think of “Americas Got Talent” 2017 so far? Be sure to sound off down in the comments section.
