‘America’s Got Talent’ 2017: Child singer Celine Tam receives Laverne Cox’s Golden Buzzer [WATCH]

Nine-year-old singer Celine Tam, who’s named after legend Celine Dion, wowed the judges so much during the Judge Cuts 3 episode of “America’s Got Talent” 2017 that she walked away with the Golden Buzzer. Guest judge Laverne Cox (“Orange is the New Black”) decided to anoint Tam as her Golden Buzzer pick after the talented tyke sang “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” on Tuesday’s episode of the long-running reality TV show. “I just want to eat you up and take you home,” Cox told the child singer after her rendition of the Michael Bolton classic wowed the audience. “You are just so adorable and so cute. And your voice is amazing. You are so talented. I am really blown away. Unbelievable. I might just have to –”

Cox pressed her Golden Buzzer at that moment and the stage erupted in golden confetti. Tam’s mouth shot open in surprise and she stood in shock for several moments before Cox walked up on stage to congratulate the little girl.

Cox had said earlier in a pre-taped piece, “The power of the Golden Buzzer is not something to be taken lightly. I take it very, very seriously. I love it when you see talent where it is clear that it has taken time for them to cultivate it. You have to work hard, kids, to cultivate that talent.”

Tam now joins nine-year-old singer Angelica Hale and singer-songwriter Chase Goehring as the three performers who received Golden Buzzers during the Judge Cuts rounds. See the other 2017 Golden Buzzer acts by clicking through our photo gallery below.
