“America’s Got Talent” 2017 fans are livid that Puddles Pity Party was eliminated on last week’s live results show. Of the thousands of people who voted in our recent poll, a whopping 86% said that the sad clown is “absolutely phenomenal.” To compare, 8% responded that they “liked him” while 6% of haters voted they’re “glad that he’s gone.” Do you agree with the majority of “AGT” fans who want Puddles to return to the reality TV show?
The singing clown was X’ed by judge Simon Cowell during his performance of “Royals” by Lorde on last week’s Quarterfinals 1 episode. Simon’s red X clearly influenced America’s vote, as Puddles failed to secure enough fan votes to make it through to the next round. “I just felt I couldn’t get in your world tonight for some reason,” Cowell explained to the teary-eyed clown.
Should the “Americas Got Talent” judges give Puddles another shot by making him the next wild card act? Below, see a sampling of readers’ comments who expressed their opinions about Puddles Pity Party, and then sound off with your thoughts at the bottom of this post.
Marlene Williams: “I think Puddles achieved so much more with exposure than just winning a Vegas contract. He will not be looking for work!”
Eileen Cook-Yemmo: “I was disappointed that Puddles was eliminated. Like Simon I don’t like clowns, but I felt differently about Puddles. He was very talented with his singing.”
Lisa Reese: “1000% agreed. BRING PUDDLES BACK.”
Mollie Gibbs-Garner: “Puddles is a modern day Barry White if you ask me. My Husband and I were blown away when he first appeared on ‘AGT’ because we thought everyone already knew who Puddles was! We have been true fans for a while now.”
mjmiriam: “I’m sad, I love Puddles!!!!! But I have to say that I didn’t like his choice of song. I also felt it was hard to connect with him.”
