‘America’s Got Talent’ Quarterfinals 2 preview: Celine Tam, Mandy Harvey to perform live Tuesday

Celine Tam competes on Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent,” the second of three quarterfinals. This nine-year-old singer won over guest judge Laverne Cox several weeks back when she performed her namesake Celine Dion‘s power ballad “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You.” Tam inspired Cox to press her Golden Buzzer sending this talented tyke straight through to the live shows.

Among the other 12 acts fighting for a place in the semifinals are three more Golden Buzzer winners, including fan favorite Mandy Harvey. The deaf singer-songwriter caused the curmudgeonly Simon Cowell to shed a tear or two on the June 6 episode when she performed a heartfelt rendition of her original tune “Try.”

New host Tyra Banks will be rooting for her Golden Buzzer act, Light Balance, which she put through on June 20. She was impressed with this dance group from the Ukraine, which made their audition stand out by the use of neon lights attached to their costumes.

Heidi Klum‘s ex-husband Seal joined her on the panel two weeks ago and hit his Golden Buzzer for Johnny Manuel. He was wowed by the singer’s tenacity as he was made to perform Stevie Wonder‘s “Lately” both with and without musical accompaniment.
