Chase Goehring will win the third quarterfinal of “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday (Aug. 29), according to our exclusive “AGT” predictions. This talented singer/songwriter inspired guest judge DJ Khaled to hit his Golden Buzzer on the July 25 episode which sent him straight through to the live show. Goehring had wowed with an original tune, “A Capella,” a mixed genre track of guitar-backed singing-songwriting and soft rap verses.
However, Goehring has to watch out for 13-year-old singer Angelina Green, who got a Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum on the July 11 episode of “AGT.” She had rocked the house with her rendition of The Pretenders‘ classic “I’ll Stand By You.” The other three judges — Mel B, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel — were equally enthusiastic about this 13-year-old singer who told a heartbreaking tale of being abandoned by her father.
Of the other 10 acts that will perform live on Tuesday’s third quarterfinals episode, we are predicting that these five will also make it through to the semifinals as well: mentalist Colin Cloud, acrobatic dance group Diavolo, gospel choir Greater Works, singer Kechi Okwuchi , and Sara Carson and her dog Hero. And we expect these five to be eliminated: vocal group Final Draft, dance duo Junior and Emily, dancer Oscar Hernandez, videomapping act Oskar and Gaspar and singer Mike Yung.
