Mandy Harvey was the last act to perform on Tuesday’s second live “America’s Got Talent” but could well end up in first place when the results are announced on Wednesday. This talented singer-songwriter, who is deaf, did an original tune, “Mara’s Song.” All four judges were overwhelmed by the raw emotion of her performance, including Simon Cowell who readily admitted, “That was stunning.” (Watch Mandy Harvey’s quarter-final performance above.)
We first met Harvey on the June 6 audition episode of “AGT.” The curmudgeonly Cowell cracked when this 29-year-old Floridian performed a heartfelt rendition of her original tune “Try.” The tart-tongued Cowell was left speechless, and showed his approval by pressing his Golden Buzzer, sending Harvey straight through to the live shows.
Do you think that Harvey can overtake frontrunner Darci Lynne Farmer and win season 12 of “America’s Got Talent”? Vote in our poll below. Our current odds have her the top five but there is still one other quarter-final that is packed with talented contestants.
