Mandy Harvey is all but certain to be in the “America’s Got Talent” final according to the results of a poll taken after the deaf singer/songwriter earned a standing ovation on the second “AGT” quarterfinal. More than one-third of readers say she will be crowned the season 12 champ next month while a whopping 55% say she will at least be in the top 10.
We were introduced to this versatile talent on the June 6 audition episode of “America’s Got Talent.” She won over all four judges with her charm and inspired the hard-hearted Simon Cowell to soften. He was so impressed by her performance of “Try,” a song that she wrote, that he pressed his Golden Buzzer and sent her straight through to the live shows.
Harvey was the final act on the August 22 live quarterfinal and she introduced another original tune, “Mara’s Song.” Not surprisingly, all four judges rose to their feet when she was finished. A clearly emotional Cowell admitted to being almost speechless and told her, “That was stunning.”
Do you think that Harvey can overtake frontrunner Darci Lynne Farmer and win season 12 of “America’s Got Talent”? Vote in our poll below. Our current odds have her the top five but there is still one other quarter-final that is packed with talented contestants.
