‘America’s Got Talent’ season finale recap: Top 10 finalists performed — Darci Lynne Farmer, Angelica Hale, Mandy Harvey … [UPDATING LIVE]

Part one of the two-night “America’s Got Talent” 2017 season finale aired Tuesday on NBC with the Top 10 finalists performing for America’s votes. The final acts of this insanely viral 12th season are: singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, singer Angelica Hale, singer-songwriter/ukeleleist Mandy Harvey, singer-songwriter/guitarist Chase Goehring, stand-up comedian Preacher Lawson, light-up dance group Light Balance, dog act Sara and Hero, acrobatic dance group Diavolo, singer Evie Clair and singer Kechi.

Which acts did the “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel — honor with standing ovations, and which ones kept them in their seats? Below, check out our minute-by-minute “Americas Got Talent” season finale performance recap and then sound off in the comments section about the reality TV show’s best and worst moments. Keep refreshing/reloading this page as we’ll be updating live.

8:00 p.m. – The final performance show has begun! Which of tonight’s crop of 10 Finalists will earn America’s votes in the end? Hmm, it’s gonna be a wild and crazy night, that’s for sure. Come on out, Tyra Banks, and let’s start this thing.

8:02 p.m. – Red alert: Tyra’s wearing fringe and Mel has glitter hair. This is already the best episode of the season!

8:06 p.m. – Episode begins with a comprehensive recap of the season and then after stating how thankful she is to have hosted for her first season, Tyra sends us to our first commercial break. We want performances!

8:11 p.m. – And we’re back. First act to perform for the $1 million prize is Angelica.

8:15 p.m. – Angelica takes on “Symphony” by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson and the judges greet her will a well-deserved standing ovation. Perfect, perfect, perfect song choice. And she slayed it. Heidi calls her the best singer in the competition.

8:18 p.m. – While we watch commercials, a quick reminder that voting closes Wednesday morning at 7 am ET so make sure to show support for your favorite before you go to bed tonight!

8:24 p.m. – Awkward! Before introducing Chase, Tyra takes some time to caress Simon’s chest “for America.” LOL!

8:28 p.m. – Chase performs another original song with his guitar, mixing both singing and rapping once again. Simon calls the song “brilliant” and with Mel gave him a standing ovation, but despite enjoying the song both Heidi and Howie remained in their seats.

8:37 p.m. – For their final performance, Sara and Hero maneuver through what looks like a quarantine zone doing their trademark jumps and dancing. Though there were a few hiccups in the tricks and the judges looked bored throughout, Simon called it “incredible.” The best moment was the big finish when Hero made a heroic leap across a massive pit to snatch a toy mid-air.

8:47 p.m. – Diavolo begins their act with just two dancers dancing in a door frame before erupting into a moving stage of ramps, their signature seesaw-ship and fires blazing behind them. Stunning.

8:50 p.m. – Huge applause from the audience, a standing ovation from the judges and a plea from Simon that any casino owners watching should be booking Diavolo immediately. I agree! Isn’t Britney’s show ending soon? There’s a vacancy!

8:57 p.m. – Evie steps away from the piano this week and stands center stage amidst fog for a delicate rendition of “What a Wonderful World.” She’s never sounded better.

9:00 p.m. – The judges send their love and respect to Evie for being brave enough to take the stage after her father’s passing this week. Her inner strength is incredible and they thank her for giving the world and her father such a touching tribute.

9:11 p.m. – Preacher is the last comic standing. For his final routine he focuses on a run-in he had with a naked homeless man on the street and then moves in and out of an impersonation of him. At the end of the joke he kind of lost me, but Howie loved it, going so far as to compare him to Charlie Chaplin and Richard Pryor before giving him his personal endorsement for the win.

9:22 p.m. – Such a touching tribute to Kechi from one of the mothers of victims from the plane crash that Kechi survived. And then Kechi comes out with a gorgeous and towering rendition of “Conqueror” by Estelle. I’m in tears.

9:33 p.m. – OMG. If you thought Darci Lynne couldn’t get any better than she was last week, you don’t know anything. She saved her best for the finale. Tonight she brought two puppets on stage and incredibly spoke back and forth between their two unique voices, as well as her own, in a perfectly flowing conversation. And then she sang. As both of them. A duet, but not a duet. What?! Legend.

9:38 p.m. – Darci Lynne got the stamp of approval from the entire panel and they all think she’s going to win, but we haven’t even seen Light Balance or Mandy Harvey yet!

9:48 p.m. – For her final performance, Mandy brought the tears back. After a stellar performance, Simon made the awesome point that comparable artists to her like Taylor Swift and Adele came out after Mandy had already lost her hearing, so she hasn’t ever heard them, but she is truly a peer to them. That being said, Mel says it wasn’t her favorite performance of hers, but will remember last week instead.

9:58 p.m. – Tyra’s Golden Buzzer act, Light Balance, is the last act to perform in the finals. Sort of like a greatest hits performance, they brought back some of the costumes they used in earlier performances (like the werewolf), but brought the whole production to a new level. The entire stage was utilized with lasers and lights and the whole thing was incredible. A great conclusion to a wonderful season!

Again, remember to vote for your favorite! You can vote 10 times for each act in each voting method. Polls close Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. ET!
