Darci Lynne Farmer has pulled ahead of her “America’s Got Talent” rival Angelica Hale after her outstanding performance on Tuesday’s live final. The singing ventriloquist upped the ante by using two puppets in her act, even singing in different voices as they did a duet. Hale had kicked off the show with a soaring rendition of Symphony” by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson. This pint-sized singer still has a chance according to our exclusive odds as Farmer’s margin of victory is predicted to be a very small one.
Farmer has been the frontrunner on “AGT” since she wowed the judges on the very first audition episode back in May. She inspired Mel B to press her Golden Buzzer, which sent her straight through to the quarterfinals. Similarly, Hale won over guest judge Chris Hardwick with her version of Alicia Key‘s “Girl on Fire.”
Hale and Farmer had not been pitted against each other since the first quarterfinal on Aug. 15. They were slotted into separate semifinals. Farmer was the best act on the first semifinal on Sept. 5 while Hale was the star on the Sept. 12 second semifinal.
Are you on Team Farmer or Team Hale? Or do you prefer one of the other eight finalists? Who do you think will be named season 12 “AGT” champ on Wednesday (Sept. 20) and win the $1 million grand prize and a chance to perform at a Las Vegas casino?
