Despite being one of just nine Golden Buzzer picks on “America’s Got Talent,” Angelina Green was eliminated during the Quarterfinals 3 results show. Despite the shock, this young singer spoke eloquently in her elimination interview and thanked her supporters for all of their efforts to keep her in the competition.(Watch Green’s exit interview above.)
The first time Green appeared on the “AGT” stage, she inspired Heidi Klum to hit her Golden Buzzer with her powerful performance of “I’ll Stand by You.” However, a nervous Green faltered on the live quarterfinal with her rendition of Sara Bareilles‘ ballad “Gravity.” While Klum and Mel B loved her performance, both Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel chose not to give the teary-eyed singer a standing ovation.
Of the dozen acts inc contention, Green was in the middle group (6th-8th place) based on America’s votes along with gospel choir Greater Works and mentalist Colin Cloud. After viewers gave Cloud the Dunkin’ Save, the judges picked Greater Works as their choice to go on to the semifinals.
The other four acts sent home after the third quarterfinal were the dancing duo Junior & Emily Alabi, the quartet Final Draft, dancer Oscar Hernandez and videomapping artists Oskar and Gaspar. Which eliminated act do YOU miss the most? Vote in our poll and sound off down in the comments section.
